The Dick Vet College Charity Ball

The Dick Vet College held their Annual Charity Ball on Friday 4th May 2012 in the style of everyone’s favourite childhood movie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Magnums of Champagne were served to guests by the Edinburgh Corn Exchange team who showed tremendous effort by painting their faces orange and wearing green wigs in an ode to the Oompa Loompa’s.

The main hall was decorated with table centrepieces handmade by the Dick Vet Team and tables were full with bowls of sweets to tie in with theme of the night.  A video of fluffy white clouds was projected onto the ceiling to give the affect you were about to step into that glass elevator and take off into the sky, just like Charlie and Willy Wonka.

A three course meal including a chocolate tart with sweetened cream and berry compote was served before entertainment consisting of a ceilidh band and a disco played into the small hours.

Testimonial

Holly from The Dick Vet College (Organiser) says: “I wanted to thank you for all the time and effort you put in to making the Ball such a huge success - you made everything so easy! I have had only positive feedback and people have said it was the best Ball yet. The room looked amazing, the food was brilliant and the managers kept everything running on time. If you need anything else from me please don't hesitate to ask and thank you again for everything.”
