Amy Forrest - In-house Event Sales
Amy joined the business in 1999 working part-time whilst studying. In 2004 she completed a BA Hospitality, tourism and events management from the Queen Margaret University and was quickly promoted to events manager – jointly responsible for over 400 events each year.
Joining the sales team in 2007 she became responsible for looking after the Edinburgh Wedding Fair, weddings, private parties and providing sales support for the Corn Exchange’s Big Big Christmas Parties. Recently Amy has become our social media expert, successfully managing the various parts of the business with tens of thousands of followers on facebook, twitter and Instagram.
Asked what the favourite parts of her work at the venue were, she said “meeting Tony Blair, he was lovely” but her main success is undoubtedly propelling the Edinburgh Wedding Fair to the East of Scotland’s largest and most successful wedding event.

Hannah Matthews - Sales & Wedding Co-ordinator
Hannah joined the Corn Exchange in 2008 working part-time whilst studying for a BA (Hons) festival and events management at Edinburgh’s Napier University. After graduating in 2012 she commenced full-time employment with the business.
Hannah, renowned for having that invaluable personal touch, is our wedding and private parties specialist, so whether you’re arranging your big day, engagement, anniversary or indeed any celebration she’ll be your first point of contact. Her day to day work includes her role as dedicated wedding co-ordinator – she’ll be your main contact from the time of booking right up until and during your wedding day when she’ll be on-hand to ensure that your day runs effortlessly.

Louise Mitchell - Corporate Sales Co-ordinator
As corporate sales co-ordinator, Louise manages all aspects of corporate sales for the business, and with over ten years’ experience, her expertise lies squarely in conferences, exhibitions, meetings and awards dinners.
Louise gained a BA hospitality and tourism from the Queen Margaret University in 2008. Asked what she enjoys most about working at the Corn Exchange, without hesitation added “….. meeting new people, building long term relationships and showing off what this incredibly versatile venue has to offer”.

Elizabeth Squair - Business Development Executive
As our business development executive, Lizzy is responsible for establishing long term business relationships. She gained a BSc english language, linguistics and psychology in 2007 and BSc (Hons) psychology in 2008 from Rhodes University, South Africa.
Her extensive expertise lies primarily in corporate events including exhibitions, conferences, meetings and large scale dinners. For Lizzy, a working day involves client meetings, preparing reports, identifying new areas of business, market research, keeping the database updated as well as establishing long term relationships for the business.
Asked what she most enjoys about her role she commented “meeting new clients and showing them exactly why the Corn Exchange is Scotland’s Best Large Venue, the team spirit in the office and being able to see how delighted our clients are at their events”.
One if Lizzy’s highlights has been working with Visit Scotland organising and co-ordinating their annual international expo and gala dinner for over 400 international event specialists.
