How do I confirm a booking?Open +

To confirm at the venue please let us know you would like to go ahead. We will then issue a contract for you to sign and return within two weeks of this date. A deposit will also be payable within two weeks and will be sent with the contract.

Can I provisionally book a date at the Corn Exchange?Open +

Yes we are always happy to provisionally hold space at the venue while you make decisions. Generally this will be for a week or two but this can vary on occasion.

When do I need to give final numbers for catering?Open +

Final numbers and dietary requirements are required 14 days prior to your event. Small changes can be made at no charge up to 7 days prior.

Can we have a menu tasting with the caterers?Open +

Yes menu tastings can be arranged – on occasion there may be a small charge but please do discuss with our caterer.

Concerts and gigs

Do you have a cloakroom available at gigs?Open +

Yes there is a cloakroom. Charge is £1.50 per item.

What age do you have to be to come to a gig?Open +

Aged 14-16 must be accompanied by an adult, over 16s admitted.

When does the band go on stage at a gig?Open +

I am afraid we don’t generally advise this information as it is subject to change, however doors open into the venue at 7pm.

What time do gigs finish?Open +

The time can vary, however it will always be by 11pm at the latest.


How can I book a viewing at the venue?Open +

Is there a standard finishing time?Open +

Yes it is 1am.

Can we bring in our own drinks ?Open +

No all drinks must be purchased from the venue.

Are children allowed at functions?Open +

Yes we have a family license so children are allowed at private events.

Do you have Wi-Fi?Open +

Complimentary WIFI with a 100Mb uncontended internet connection, where prioritised traffic for video conferencing and bandwidth intensive events can be arranged.

Is there three phase power in the room?Open +

Yes we do have 3 phase – please do let us know should you need to use this as a charge may apply.

Getting to the venue

Is there car parking available on site?Open +

Yes we have over 300 car parking spaces that are free of charge. There are also no on street restrictions in the area so parking is generally easy.

Where is the nearest train station?Open +

We are directly adjacent to Slateford Train Station, however the nearest main line station is Haymarket a 5 minute drive away.

Where is the nearest motorway?Open +

The M8 junction J1 is only 3 miles from the venue.

Sorry this is not permitted in the venue.

Do the rooms have air conditioning?Open +

Yes they do.

Do the rooms have natural light?Open +

Yes our Baron, Exchange and Newmarket rooms have black out facilities.

Do the rooms have accessible toilets?Open +

Yes our Baron, Exchange and Newmarket rooms have accessible toilets.

Does the room have its own entrance?Open +

Yes all our rooms have their own entrance.

Does the room have a bar?Open +

Yes all rooms at the Corn Exchange have a bar.

Can the roof lights in the Baron change colour?Open +

Yes the roof lights in the Baron can be red, green, pink, white, light blue, dark blue and yellow.

Can the LED lights in the Exchange and Concourse change colour?Open +

Yes they can be changed to most primary colours to match your theme.

Is there a stage in the Baron and Exchange rooms?Open +

Yes there is a stage.

Can the stage be removed?Open +

It can be removed but a charge will apply – please ask for details.

Is there a stage in the Newmarket or Bistro rooms?Open +

No but we can hire one for you if required.


Can I have a Partnership at the Corn Exchange?Open +

Is the room hire fee included in the wedding package?Open +

Yes it is, there would only be a small additional charge for the ceremony if you choose to have you service with us too.

When will I need to pay for my wedding?Open +

Once you confirm a wedding at the venue you will need to pay a £500 deposit, a further £500 is payable 6 months after booking with the final balance due 2 weeks before the big day.

Can we have confetti?Open +

Yes but only outside the venue.
