Marc Grierson - Venue Manager
Marc joined the Corn Exchange operations team in 2003 as an event manager, and memorably his first shift was the night Radiohead played the venue; 21st May! Talk about start with a bang!
Since joining the team, Marc has developed a reputation for first class customer service, and many clients look forward to returning again and again in order to utilise his professionalism and attention to detail.
Marc’s expertise and knowledge has recently been recognised with his promotion to the position of Venue Manager, only the second person ever to hold the top operations position here at the Corn Exchange
Marc says:Working with the company since 2003 has allowed me to develop my skills and experience a variety of event styles and challenges. My knowledge and experience in event management allows me to remain calm whilst always focusing on the clients as the inevitable challenges arise. My current position as Venue Manager allows me to pass on my skills to the next generation of award-winning Event managers in Edinburgh’s Leading Venue
Over the past 16 years Marc has experienced many highlights, however the Christmas parties remain his absolute favourite time of year. The Corn Exchange’s Big Big Christmas Parties are legendary and see over ten thousand party goers over the festive season, Marc commented “I absolutely love them, the venue looks amazing, the atmosphere is electric, the entertainment and food are first class, it just gets better and better each year”.
When not at the venue; Marc likes to relax listening to music, watching films and enjoying fantastic local food and drinks. Marc is also a keen marathon runner, (it’s a good job working at the Corn Exchange keeps him on his toes!)

Kim Dewar - Finance Manager
Kim has worked with Marcos Leisure as their Finance Manager since 2014. She is reponsible for the financial operations, planning and reporting of the company. This covers not only the Corn Exchange, but also the World of Bowling, World of Football, Marcos Poolhall and Pizza Bar, and also the soon to be Portal Golf!
Kim has a supportive and motivated team, which helps her in the development and management of our financial systems and policies. She also takes pride in helping all of her colleagues in their understanding of financial management.
Kim's favourite memory of the Corn Exchange has to be when Hot Dub Time Machine visited! She also love the Xtreme Go Karting and Combat with colleagues.
We asked Kim what she loves to do in her spare time, and she said "Spending time with my husband and kids, Dancing, Gardening and Cinema"

Neil Rudram - Sales & Marketing Manager
Since opening its doors in 1999, Neil has been a key part of the Corn Exchange team. After more than a decade heading up both the events and operational teams, Neil took over the mantle as Sales & Marketing Manager in 2013. He is the longest running Sales Manager the Corn Exchange has ever had!
He is now responsible for overseeing the extensive sales and marketing activities for Marcos Leisure.This being the parent company of World of Bowling, World of Football & Marcos Pool Hall, as well as the Corn Exchange and soon to be launched Portal Golf.
Neil leads a team of highly motivated, event professional salespeople in converting, creating, and maintaining sales opportunities. He is also responsible for spotting new opportunites and promoting the Corn Exchange to existing bookers and new clients alike.
We asked Neil what his favourite Corn Exchange memory was, and he said "Meeting Slash and then watching him live on the Corn Exchange stage! The world’s best guitarist from the worlds best band, Guns n Roses!"
We also asked Neil what he likes to do outwith work, and he came back with "I enjoy cycling, especially in the Pentland Hills. I like to challenge myself on all terrains and keep myself (relatively) fit. My cycling also allows me to enjoy my second passion, good food and nice wines! I have enjoyed many of the fine restaurants Edinburgh has to offer, and hope to return at some time in the near future!"
