Amy Forrest - In-house Event Sales
Amy joined the business in 1999 working part-time whilst studying. In 2004 she completed a BA Hospitality, tourism and events management from the Queen Margaret University and was quickly promoted to events manager – jointly responsible for over 400 events each year.
Joining the sales team in 2007 she became responsible for looking after the Edinburgh Wedding Fair, weddings, private parties and providing sales support for the Corn Exchange’s Big Big Christmas Parties. Recently Amy has become our social media expert, successfully managing the various parts of the business with tens of thousands of followers on facebook, twitter and Instagram.
Asked what the favourite parts of her work at the venue were, she said “meeting Tony Blair, he was lovely” but her main success is undoubtedly propelling the Edinburgh Wedding Fair to the East of Scotland’s largest and most successful wedding event.

Louise Mitchell - Corporate Sales Co-ordinator
As corporate sales co-ordinator, Louise manages all aspects of corporate sales for the business, and with over ten years’ experience, her expertise lies squarely in conferences, exhibitions, meetings and awards dinners.
Louise gained a BA hospitality and tourism from the Queen Margaret University in 2008. Asked what she enjoys most about working at the Corn Exchange, without hesitation added “….. meeting new people, building long term relationships and showing off what this incredibly versatile venue has to offer”.
