Amy Forrest - In-house Event Sales
Amy joined the business in 1999 working part-time whilst studying. In 2004 she completed a BA Hospitality, tourism and events management from the Queen Margaret University and was quickly promoted to events manager – jointly responsible for over 400 events each year.
Joining the sales team in 2007 she became responsible for looking after the Edinburgh Wedding Fair, weddings, private parties and providing sales support for the Corn Exchange’s Big Big Christmas Parties. Recently Amy has become our social media expert, successfully managing the various parts of the business with tens of thousands of followers on facebook, twitter and Instagram.
Amy is now responsible for the coordination, sales and the marketing of all our in-house events such as the wedding fair and the Award Winning Big Big Gin Festival! Amy loves being able to take the events from the concepts right through to the establish award winning events they become!
We asked Amy what her favourite Corn Exchange memory was, and she has too many! Although if she had to pick it would be "Getting to meet lots of famous faces throughout the years!"
We can tell Amy loves a project! From work life to home life! We asked Amy what she loves to do when she isn't working, and she said "I love spending time with my family! The boys just love being creative in the garden. I think they get that from me though, I love upcycling old furniture and any interior design projects!"

Louise Mitchell - Senior Sales Coordinator

Louise has been with the Corn Exchange for 6 years, and has a wealth of knowledge! The experience that Louise has when it comes to organising and coordinating events is second to none! As senior corporate sales co-ordinator, Louise manages all aspects of corporate sales for the business, and with over ten years’ experience, her expertise lies squarely in conferences, exhibitions, meetings and awards dinners. Louise takes pride in the management and retention of key accounts within the Corn Exchange.
Louise gained a BA hospitality and tourism from the Queen Margaret University in 2008. Asked what she enjoys most about working at the Corn Exchange, without hesitation added “….. meeting new people, building long term relationships and showing off what this incredibly versatile venue has to offer”.
When Louise isn't working, she loves to spend time with her family. "I love taking my kids up to Aberfeldy and going exploring, it's time you never get back! It's just beautiful up there!" Louise also loves spending time with her friends outwith work, and also being active with them through Clubbercise!

Marta Adamczuk - Event Sales Coordinator
Marta joined the Corn Exchange in February 2019 as Event Sales Coordinator, specialising in Weddings, Special Events and Private Parties.
Marta brings a wealth of experience having worked in the industry for over 10 years and loves being involved with the variety of fabulous clients that book the Corn Exchange. Key responsibilities include handling and developing enquiries, planning and creating events and always working hard to ensure client’s expectations are exceeded. As a part of the team, Marta enjoys creating the memories that our clients never forget and loves to work with our operations team to deliver the perfect event!
Marta said: My first week at the Corn Exchange is still my most favourite memory! The positive vibe from the office and the amazing variety of events and clients we hosted was just incredible!
No day is ever the same and there is still such a great atmosphere amongst the team with people helping each other and having fun along the way. Most importantly; there is a constant supply of snacks in the office!
Outside of the office, Marta loves spending time with her family and friends. She just loves hosting dinner parties - cooking makes me so happy!

Kirstie McCracken - Event Sales Coordinator
After completing a degree in PR, Marketing and Events at Queen Margaret University, Kirstie joined the Corn Exchange in 2017. Kirstie started off in the sales office looking after all of the weddings and private events. Since then she now handles events from dinners to conferences, along with exhibitions, working alongside Louise in the organisation of corporate events.
Kirstie works with the client from their first enquiry right through until the event day, carefully ensuring every detail is planned and arranged to each client’s exact requirements and taste. Kirstie’s organisational ability and attention to detail will ensure that your event day goes without a hitch.
Kirstie enjoys the variety that different clients bring to her role, saying,“no two events are the same, and I get a real sense of satisfaction when everything comes together perfectly on the day”.
Outwith work Kirstie loves spending time with her friends and family. Kirstie's favourite thing to do is "just going out for a meal or a takaway night with my friends, always full of the best food and laughs!"
